Just like every year, Concorto’s staff and artistic direction will attend the prestigious International Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand, one of the most important events in the short-film universe.

However, this year we have decided to boost things up a little.

First of all, we will share a stand in the film market with our long-time partner Lago Film Fest, meaning we will have a tailor-made space to set-up and to transform into a comfortable haven for filmmakers, festival organizers, partners etc… So, if you’re planning to visit the market, come and say hello (coffee or beer, you choose)! Moreover, we have designed a communication campaign just for Clermont’s visitors, a series of postcards and posters that show the many aspects of our festival: “Why Concorto – 5 reasons that taste good”. Plus, be sure not to miss our Apéro, planned for February, 9 and featuring typical food and wine from Piacenza!

Last but not least, we will publicly present the BORDERS project, in collaboration with Lago Film Fest: 10 short films focused on the concept of border. In the last few years we have come to think of borders as lines that can be crossed by some people but not by everyone. We can talk about political and geographical borders but we can also focus on invisible borders and boundaries dividing people. BORDERS is a call for short films matching this idea. The films will be selected among the ones submitted to the two festivals. The special selection will be screened during both Concorto Film Festival and Lago Film Fest. More info here.
