Vanhanen<br \/>\nAs it&#8217;s harder to make people laugh than cry, the special mention goes to ABOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES by J.J. Vanhanen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AUDIENCE AWARD<\/strong>: Kukista ja mehil\u00e4isist\u00e4 &#8211; About the birds and the bees by J.J. Vanhanen<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOUTH JURY AWARD<\/strong>: Copa-Loca di Christos Massalas<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BORDERS<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>SPECIAL MENTION<\/strong>: Do not come to Europe &#8211;\u00a0 Pontus Jonestr\u00f6m, Minna Lundberg and Hanna Pousette<br \/>\nThe jury has recognized in this film the clever capacity to make Europeans empathize with refugees fleeing from war. For this reason, the Jury has decided to give a special mention to Do not come to Europe by Pontus Jonestr\u00f6m, Minna Lundberg and Hanna Pousette.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BORDERS WINNER<\/strong>: 489 Years \u2013 Hayoun Kwon<br \/>\nThis film struck us because it talks about borders in a poetic and uncommon way, open to many interpretations. Combining a very actual theme with universal and timeless emotions and thoughts, this film grasps the ambiguity hidden in the very idea of \u201cborder\u201d: a dangerous and negative place, and at the same time a place in which things change and move to different situations. The border as a meeting place, not a censoring zone. A space in which imagination gets richer thanks to diversity.
