INDOCILI (“UNBROKEN”)

In its 23rd edition, Concorto Film Festival inaugurates a collaboration with Tafano, a cultural association from Milan composed of directors, critics, and industry professionals dedicated to cinema and disciplines connected to the audiovisual sector. 

Tafano is driven by a passion for research and constant debate about the relationship between images and contemporary issues. Since 2016, it has organized film events and festivals, as well as cinema workshops in schools and educational institutions, with the aim of providing young people with the tools needed to understand the world of moving images, encouraging creativity through the use of new communication media, and stimulating critical and never passive reflection in relation to digital media.

Since 2021, it has organized the Indocili festival at Cinema Beltrade in Milan, aiming to bring to the screen films by young Italian directors under 35 who do not have the opportunity to boast official cinema distribution. It is within the context of Indocili that this dialogue on contemporary short films by young Italian authors is born: Tafano and Concorto thus present a selection of works created between 2022 and 2023, spanning various genres including fiction, animation, and references to documentary cinema, reflecting the multiple and free expressions of independent and auteur Italian cinema.
