With the increase of new audiovisual languages in renewed spaces, times and dimensions, the topic of film format has never been so relevant. The term film format – and audiovisual format in general – refers to a now fluid dimension that is breaching new horizons and exploring new frontiers. While short films are becoming longer, and reels shorter, we should ask ourselves whether and how the message is related to the time that the same takes to be told.

Hence the need to bring back to Concorto Film Festival, after eleven years, Concortissimo, a focus that redefines the meaning of “short”. Each featured film is no longer than  7 minutes. In a period when time is something precious and our attention is a limited resource, Concortissimo aims to provide exciting experiences that gather emotions, thrilling narrations, and significance in a reduced duration. Concortissimo seeks to ensure a wide range of short films, that despite their duration, are able to analyse several languages and themes, in order to demonstrate that the power of a story does not depend on its duration, but on its ability to show engaging elements and solutions.
