Owing to the proliferation of new audiovisual languages in renewed spaces, times, and dimensions, the issue of the format has never been so relevant. The film – and audiovisual in general – format, a term referring to a now fluid dimension, is crossing new thresholds and exploring new frontiers. As short films are becoming longer and longer and reels are becoming shorter and shorter, it is worth  asking ourselves whether and how the message is linked to the time it takes to be told.

This led us to  bring back to Concorto Film Festival, for the second year in a row and after a break of eleven years, Concortissimo 2025 (“very brief”), a focus which redefines the meaning of “short”.

Each film screened is no longer than five minutes.

At a time when time is precious and attention is a limited resource, Concortissimo aims to offer intense experiences that condense emotions, narratives and meaning in a few minutes. Concortissimo wants to offer a varied range of short films that, despite their brevity, manage  to explore different languages and themes, showing that the power of a story is not measured by its length, but by its ability to convey engaging elements and solutions.
