Archivio Aperto is the festival dedicated to the rediscovery of small-format film heritage – whether private, amateur, experimental or arthouse cinema–, of private memories and their contemporary reuse, organized by Home Movies – National Archive of Family Film of Bologna. In connection with the Mnemosyne focus, Archivio Aperto offers a selection of short films screened in the previous two editions. It is a short corpus of works that gives space to various archival materials and re-definitions of the image, in which the interweaving of individual stories and public history is dense.
