How far can we push our emotional resilience before it finally wears out?
Doom scrolling is now part of our everyday lives, and this year Concortissimo 2026 aims to exacerbate the rapidly changing viewing habits typical of social media, transforming what is usually a solitary experience into a collective and cinematic one. While previous editions sought to offer audiences an explosive mix of genres, nationalities and different mentalities, this year the focus turns to one of the most compelling and controversial aspects of how we consume media. Through this selection, we wish to explore the emotional contrast that we experience every day as scenes of violence and absurdity, raw reality and artificial intelligence, consumerist trends and streets filled with protests flash across our screens. Weßll do so by switching between diametrically opposed titles, disorienting the viewer and surprising them with every new frame.
